Prison Break

Author's Note: This is a written piece about a TV series form 2005-2009 named Prison Break. the purpose of this is to explain why this is such a popular show worth watching. 

How far would go for someone you love? Would go to the extreme just for something you believe? Well Michael Scofield the protagonist in the TV series from 2005-2009. I began watching this TV series with my family on Netflix because my brother from collage recommended it. It has action and suspense there whole show and since it is on Netflix you can watch it when ever and where ever you want. So when you finish one you can go straight to the next one. It just keeps pulling you in and in with the suspense and you always want to know what is going to happen next when the episode is finished. The show has four seasons eighty in all and each one has a twist somehow.

            To begin with Michael finds out that his brother has been sent to the electric chair for the alleged murder of the Vice President’s brother. Michael’s predisposition is to help people. This of course will cause many problems. Michael’s occupation is as an Architectural Engineer. He finds the blueprints to the maximum security state penitentiary that his brother, Lincoln Burrows, is being held at. The name of that state penitentiary is Fox River a fictitious place located in Illinois. To get into Fox River Michael shall become a criminal to be able to get on the inside with Lincoln. In Fox River everyone called him Linc the Sink because of what he did, or they thought he did. Michael spent months planning his escape with his brother, but there are plenty of twists that go along with this story.

            First to be able to break Linc out, Michael must get into Fox River, to do so he must show he is worthy of being put into Fox River. So he goes and robs a bank just so he can get caught and go to the same prison as his brother. Here is where the first problem comes into hand, nobody can get close to him because of what he was accused of—the alleged murder of the Vice President’s brother. When Michael gets to jail he finds out he needs only two guys in that prison the first is named John Abruzzi, he is the guy that will get the plan to a certain location so they can escape to Panama City. The other is named Charles Westmoreland, this was the guy they need because he had five million dollars somewhere and they could split the cash. Then there were other people that over heard them and said that they would tell the guards if they could join them so Michaela had no choice but to let four more guys into the operation. There was now David Apolskis, Benjamin Miles Franklin, Theodore Bagwell, and Fernando Sucre. Fernando who they just called Sucre was Michael’s Cell mate so he had to let him on the plan. The reason why Michael just had to let Sucre in on the plan is because Michael had to dig a whole behind the toilet to escape so that’s why he had to let Sucre in on it.

            In Season two they finally break out and are on the run from the FBI and Secret Service type people that work “The Company” and the cops. As the plane that they planed John Abruzzi to have ready for them flies away because they see the cops but they don’t see the cons running towards them so then they have to run on foot. They get separate in their own fancy way, because Lincoln and Michael are, brother’s they drift away from the pack so they can do their own thing together that they had planned. The plane was plan A, but since Michael has a sort of a disease where is just really smart and over looks things more than a regular person and comes up with a plan B. Plan B was Bolshi Booze which upside down is coordinates to a man who can get them into Mexico and make them safe forever, but like a said before there is always a twist to every episode. So then that plan doesn’t work out and they are screwed. And have no other way to get into Mexico. Since Michael and Lincoln make such good minds when you put them together because Lincoln is the brut and Michael is the brains they fit perfectly together.

Finally there is an ending to this wonderful TV series but right there is where I am going to leave you because I believe that you should watch it. If you like action and suspense and even a little love story in there, you will love this TV series. Now do you have an answer for the first question I asked you? How far would go for someone you love? Would you do the same as Michael did, go as far as Michael did? See the great decisions he makes and even the worst decisions anyone could ever make in their entire lives.
