The lesson of The Pearl is don’t let anything take you over don’t let fame and fortune take your life over and control you. The three main characters are Juana, Kino, and Coyotiteo. There story is like they have money problems and they don’t have any money. They find a pearl and it just destroys Kino, Juana, and The baby’s life. The Pearl is a sad and some happy parts over all a great book.
One of the best parts for the pearl is that the author really knows how to describe the story and uses a big vocabulary. He can really bring you into the book. The way the author writes it makes you feel sad in the sad parts and makes you happy in the happy parts. So they go out and find pearls they become pearlers which are people of find pearls. Before they do that they have to deal with a mean and nasty doctor. Their son Coyotiteo gets stung by a scorpion and the doctor won’t help because they are poor and they are Indians.
When I was reading this most of the parts in this story mad me cry. Like the time Kino beat up Juana because she said to get rid of the pearl. At the end when Coyotiteo gets shot in the head by a tracker because the tracker thought he was a coyote. At that part when the baby is crying you feel like you are there and you have to say Coyotiteo please be quit. And after that happens you can just feel Kino’s Rage to kill him and so he does he stabs him.
