Family is the Most Imprtant Thing

Author’s note: This is a point of view of what happen to Ponyboy’s family in the car crash and he feels about it.

Family is the most important thing because when there is no else to talk to there is family there and they. Without them you have nobody to really love you and make you laugh you always need someone to love you and make you laugh. The outsiders have to deal with no family at except for the people in the gang and or their own brothers but there are on parents in the picture because most of them die. Ponyboy had one of the worst things that could ever happen to him and his two brothers.

Dark, Scared, cold, the worst that could ever happen I didn’t know what to do I wanted to stay tough in front everyone but I just couldn’t I burst into tears. Family as I know is the most fragile thing and one of those things you need to hold onto to tight or you might lose them. I Ponyboy thought my world would come to an end sitting there in my room getting the news. It’s true they were dead my parent I was so sad. When Darry finds out I don’t know what he is going to do the first I thought was blame it on me. But the one thing he did I didn’t think he would was he dropped out of school to help support me and Sodapop.

A year gone by without them my life with Darry as grown weak he is always mean to me I don’t know why. Me Sodapop are still close me Darry used to be tight too but after the accident he thinks he is dad now but he’s not doing the best job. I miss my parents so much I loved them I always wondered what would happen to me if they died then before my eyes bam they were gone like that. They were the best parents a kid could ask for. I lived playing catch with my dad in the back yard now be barley have a yard to run in. As well as helping my mom all the time with the laundry.

Thanks to the greasers I would not be alive really they were the wall I could lean on. They are the best thing that has happen to me since my parents died. Especially Johnny he has been the best friend I never had he really helps ease the pain. Now you know about Ponyboy’s family. So no matter what you do family is the most important thing. To tell you the truth Ponyboy got screwed because he had both his parents die at the same time. Now you understand how and why family is the most important thing. Ponyboy had one of the worst things that could ever happen to him and his two brothers.

A Troubled Letter

 Author's Note: this is a letter a friend sent to his friend asking what side of the groups he should be on the Greasers or the Socs.

Dear Jim,


I am enjoying the first week in the new town I wish I didn’t move or you moved with me. We had some of the best times ever. The school isn’t just the place where there are groups of people fighting it’s through out the town. There are two groups called the greasers and the socs. I am the new kid in town you know me being 17 years old i have to chose basically or one of them will kill me I don't know what side to chose I need you help. I will tell you a little bit about each side.

    
First there is the greasers that are the bad boys of the town and are really cool I think. They have slick hair and leather jackets and have greasy hair. All of the greasers are misjudged because they have one or two people that are in the group that do bad stuff first there is Dallas but everyone calls him Dally. He is from a gang in New York and went to juvy when he was 14 years old. but everyone else is cool like Ponyboy and Johnny are really cool.

    
Then there is the Socs, they are the snoty rich kids that get everything and are clean dress nice and are basically the complete opposite as the greasers. There are the one person that sticks out of the socs and that is Cherry. She is dating Bob but thinks Ponyboy is dreamy. She is not afraid to talk to anyone and she doesn’t really think anyone should get hurt. She doesn’t want anyone to get hurt especially Ponyboy.

    
These two groups have always been fighting and off when they don’t fight most of them have to deal with family business and other stuff that may not have to do with their opposite group. I believe in the end that something terrible will happen to both sides like someone will die on both sides or if not that something great like they forgive each other and they all become friends because. One last prediction would be that Ponyboy and Cherry start dating and so they greasers and socs try to become friends because of it.

    
So I would really like your help on what group I should go to because I am kind of between them both. You know me best so that’s why I am asking you I trust your judgement.

The US of A

Are you proud of your country? Do you think your country has done you well? The United States of America sure has, they have done some of the greatest things in the world, like having one of the best armed forces in the world. The USA is the best because we are also a free country. I love the US of A for all its reason.

First off we are a free country we get to believe whatever we like whatever religion you want. In some countries you can’t believe in anything else its very ferly. We also have the freedom of speech we can go anywhere in the USA and speak about what we believe. You can also travel freely because we are one united place.

Another good reason why I am proud is because we are a democracy where the government listens to the people. Some countries that still have a King and Queen like when England used to be a monarchy.

Also some good reasons are we won World War 1 and 2. Our armed forces is one of the best in the world they dedicate there lives to the force. There are the police, the swat, army, navy, air force, and the special ops teams. The police dedicate their lives every day and leaving there families hoping to they can come back to them. The swat are basically police but they do the harder missions like if there is a airport getting taken over that’s what they do they go there instead of the police. The army, navy, and air force are the same basically except Army are ground troops, navy is water troops, and air force are the air troops like pilots. The special ops teams go and do the really hard missions and nobody knows who they are not even their families they go out change their name and be someone else completely. So they really need to be dedicated to their job or that can’t be on the spec ops.

Those are some of the reasons why I am proud of my country and if you have anything you would like to say that isn’t good about the United States you can’t say them to me because I will not listen to you. We also have people come over from different areas just live here because we are free. There is no place better than the US of A.

Dear Tyler

Author’s note: This letter to a friend that moved away and a friend that sends it just wants to stay in touch.

Dear Tyler,

            How’s the new house? I was just wondering why you moved away? The first week was the saddest week in all 6^th grade. I wish I had your new phone number so I could talk to you we used to be so close than you moved away and it’s like you never existed. So I was just sending this letter to see how you are doing and to remind you of all the great times we had together.

            First off let’s start with the one great thing we always did at each other’s houses. Playing video games, was the most entertaining thing we did at our houses. All the great games we played like Left for Dead 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops, and even Star Wars games. One game I can’t wait to get would be the ne Modern Warfare 3 game looks pretty cool right.

Also the fun we had at school always messing around having the time of our lives. The thing we loved to do at recess was playing tackle football when we were not supposed to do tons of fun. Another time when we just went outside and just swing on the swings that was fun, going side to side running into each other, in gym when we would plan to be always on the same team for kick ball. We would always ask the school if we could be in the same class, but we never did get one. Then the last year in elementary school you had to move away and we get the same class together for just the 1^st quarter of school. At least we were in one class together.

Finally there the thing we don’t like to talk about, the bumpy roads that we just want to forget but I think we need to get past them. The one time when I was driving you gator and I hit a jump with it when you told me not to and I broke the suspension on it. Even the time when I took one of your video games, because I was jealous of you having it for all of these things I am sorry friend. another thing I am sorry for is the time when I thought I was the best person in the world.

I sent this letter because I want to say sorry for all the bumpy roads we came across. Another reason why because I wanted to remind you of all the great times we had another one would be the air softing at your farm. It is a good thing we had more good than bad memories.

Football...the Greatest Sport Ever

Author’s note: This is a persuasive piece to inform people about football and to try to get them to joy or to watch football.

Do you think football is a great sport for all ages? In this sport you learn plenty of life lessons, discipline, and even communication. You win as a team you lose as team. You have to learn to stay together through everything nobody how bad you get beat. The one word you will hear in football a lot when you get good enough and trust each other that word is called family. It’s a big word family that’s how you have to stay together as a team the guys in your football team are your brothers that’s how you treat them. One football thing that just about every football team does is hold hands yes hold them. Football is a great for all ages.

Next big thing in football would be you learn life lessons all the time. You learn to work as a team if can’t work as a team then you lose, it’s has plan as can see. Working together is a life lesson you need for life with a team it’s harder. Communication is another big one without being able to talk to your teammates you won’t learn anything and you won’t run the play right. If you have a question and you’re afraid to talk to your teammate then you don’t know what is going on and you run the play wrong. This life lesson without you can talk to people and if you have a job interview and your shy then you won’t get that job.

Another reason why football is such a great sport is it helps later in life. It would help you because it makes you stronger and stronger means healthier and you can do more stuff. One big thing is discipline. You have to be able to have discipline to be able to play. You need to when not to talk and when to talk. If your coaches says something you don’t look at the ground you have to able to keep eyes on him at all times if you want a spot on the team. Football is like the real life you can’t screw around or you won’t be able to play and sitting on the sidelines is the worst thing that can happen to you.

Also one good thing to do at least it to watch it I guaranteed you will be closer to family and friends. When you watch it you most likely watch it with family or friends and then when you eat at the table or at school you have something to talk about. You know that when your family eats more meals together you will stay together longer. Plus most of the football NFL games are on Sunday so you can watch it on the most important day of the week because it the family day so after you get home from a good hour of church you go home and watch the Packers.

Finally football is the greatest sport in the world for all ages. I hope you can join or even watch football you won’t regret it. It brings family together and there is nothing more important than staying together as a family. Football is known for all these reasons and if you don’t even try to watch it or even play it you will regret it. If you think you are too old for it, play catch with your children if you don’t have any then call a friend if you don’t have any of those then that stinks to be you. If and older guy who as no shot at making it far just go grab a football and play catch with someone you know. Seriously if you’re young and looking for something to do try football even for a year if you truly don’t like it then you don’t have to play it, but if you work hard enough and don’t give up on your dreams and you’ll go far.

When Zombies Attack

Another’s note: I wrote the short story to entertain people about zombies and tell a story that happened to a man named Keith this story is a fiction.

This story is not a happy story, this is not a sad story, it just a story on how the great Keith survived the zombie apocalypse. Keith has brown eyes and short brown hair. First it starts off where Keith lives happily with his wife Gertrude, they have no kids. Gertrude has long beautiful brown hair and brown eyes. They are also known as the riches couple in the city. they lived at the top of the hill and in a huge mansion and had bullet proof walls with a gate. So they were really protected from anything, they made sure of that.

Then one day when they heard of a disease that was going around, they stocked up on food right away so they wouldn’t have to go out in public again, until of course they ran out of food. They had everything you could imagine from airplanes and an air port to every video game there is known to mankind. Yes they had their own airport that goes with their jets. They also have every book known to mankind in their library. Then when the disease spread all the way through the city and the people that didn’t have the disease had to leave the city for safety.

The only two people that didn’t leave were Keith and his wife because Keith believes that he has found a cure for this disease. But two years later Keith’s idea didn’t work at all so he was stuck but didn’t give up kept trying different things. He was getting so mad. One zombie that they captured was getting better slowly but it was talking like three years for it to get better. Keith thought there was no hope at all for curing the disease.

Then when all the zombies finally got smart enough they found one of the easiest places to fit through. All of the zombies went through the gate and surrounded the house. By now Keith just found out that his potion actually did work, the zombies where already surrounded the little bullet proof glass box and Keith gave the potion to his wife and she went into a bullet proof closest and hid there because Keith had two grenades and killed himself and all of the zombies surrounding them.

Then Keith’s wife went to a camp not far from the city that had a bunch of survivors living to there. She gave the potion to the scientist working there and they made more of the potion and they finally got over the zombie apocalypse. One thing that the world will never forget is the great Keith. I know that I said Keith would survive but he did for the most of the time at least but he saved millions of other lives along with his wife’s. They made a great big statue of him and his brave story in a great big gold statue.

Mine and Jacks Script for Public Speaking

Sean: Today we are going to be talking about how the school year as gone.

Jack: Yes the school year for this year was Interesting.

Sean: This year for me has its ups and downs.

Jack: For me this year as changed a lot because I had made lots of new friends. I’m not going to name any, but one of them is Sean, right here standing next to me.

Sean: One good time that happened to me was in gym, we were playing a game of mat ball and I kicked a homerun. It was awesome because everyone was looking at me when I was running the bases.

Jack: I had experience with that to, we were also playing a game of mat ball and I kicked one too.

Sean:  That’s great Jack, having to take my moment away from me.

Jack: You’re welcome Sean.

Sean: anyway, what I was trying to say is, I like to play mat ball.

Jack: Don’t you mean we like to play mat ball?

Sean: Yah Yah whatever. On to mor-

Jack: No it’s my turn to talk now.

Sean: Okay Jackie you have the spot light.

Jack: No, my name is not Jackie, its Jack, or as my friends at my old school would call me is Jack-O.

Sean: Sure it is.

Jack: Yes it is go ahead and call one of them. His number is (262)-not telling.

Sean: Okay Jack-O… Hahaha I’m sorry I can’t hold it in.

Jack: Ok Sean….What am I going to call you?

Jack: I’m going to call you Seanie, I guess.

Sean: Whatever, as long I get to call you Jackie.

Jack: No, it’s fine let’s just go back to calling each other by our real name.

Sean: Fine we are only going to call each other these names when we are like weird if you know what I mean.

Jack: OK sure you could say that.

Sean: Ok I am going to say that, what is wrong with you?

Jack: Nothing, nothing at all.

Sean: Really, because I can think of some things that could be wrong with you.

Jack: Yah really like what.

Sean: Nothing I can say right now.

Jack:  Yah you probably shouldn’t.

Sean & Jack: HAHAHAHAHAHA (FAIL HIGH FIVE)

Sean:  Uggg that wasn’t funny.

Jack: IKR

Sean: I think this year as gone by really fast because this is my last time doing public speaking with this little kid.

Jack:  I know right, hey wait one minute. I am not a little kid.

Sean: Yah you are, look how short you are.

Jack: yah so, maybe your just tall.

Sean: Compared to you.

Jack:  Whatever.

Sean: Okay to other things what was your favorite part of the spring break we took.

Jack: My favorite part was not having any homework. Sometimes l like to have no homework once in awhile. How about you Sean?

Sean: Yes I don’t like having homework sometimes. Well first I did absolutely nothing over break I just sat on my couch, played outside and mowed my lawn. We were going to go to the Mall of America in Minnesota but I have already been there like every year until I moved here and in Alexandria so that like 7-8 years I’ve been there. So that is like 20 times a year you do the math. So tell me what you did at least Jackie.

Jack: What I did was not that much. The only thing I did over the break that we had was I went to a party until midnight, that was on Friday, also I did was play games on my couch. I also had a couple friends come over that weekend because I had some friends in Waukesha and they didn’t have spring break the next week. So yah, that’s it.

Jack & Sean: well that’s all the time we have folks c yah later.

Go Kart Racing

The first I drove a go kart was in Alexandria, Minnesota at a place called Casey’s. It had batting cages, mini golf, and some other stuff like bumper boats. It was a really fun place to hang out with friends and across the street there was a Dairy Queen and a Subway. So during the summer it was even better. After a round of golf we would go to Dairy Queen to get some ice cream and icees. It was also a great place for family member to meet and have parties or even bring your baseball team for practice in the cage and some fun after.

The Finals (Basketball)

The finals are fun to watch really the only best part of the NBA basketball season because that’s when the teams actually try there hardest. It has been a tough battle so far this year. Now they are down to two teams the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. I would like to see the heat win and for the NBA it is best of 7 games and so far the heat have won game one the only game has happened. The Heat won 92 to 84 it was close and with the heat having the 2 best players in the NBA Dwayne Wade and Lebron James score a lot of their points. On the Mavericks they have Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Kidd. Dirk is like 6’ 10” and he can shoot from anywhere on the court he is the Mavericks Center and is a beast. Jason Kidd is pretty good he can shoot 3’s and he had his good day playing with the New Jersey Nets. I hope the Heat win it all and I bet they will.
